Hi all! Does anyone know how the decisions are getting made for how much federal funding a university gets cut for supposed infractions? $400M for Columbia. $600M for Hopkins. Now $175M for U Penn.

Was thinking about the words they will flag on NSF grants. We could all just organize and make sure we use at least 10 of the words in every grant submitted. It wonβt be hard. Words they have flagged include: βbarrierβ, βexcludedβ, and βwomenβ.

Absolutely right! This will cost the U.S. in scientific discovery, world class higher education, economic growth, jobs for people at every level of education, and health. It will affect every state, because
universities are lead employers in every state. This will affect lives and livelihoods.
I'm a reporter at NBC News and I'm interested in speaking with people who are familiar with the specific technical details of onboarding DOGE staff at the federal agency level β USAID or CFPB or wherever. You can reach me on Signal at: davidingram.77. I can honor requests for anonymity.

For the first time in almost a decade, we will have no women serving as committee chairs in the U.S. House of Representatives. There are qualified Republican women in office. So what happened?

Happy to share this new National Academies report from a committee I co-chaired. The work highlights the value of womenβs #empowerment policies and programs for #globalhealth and #globaldevelopment, and the research gaps in this area that need to be filled.

Anyone want to talk about how academics and researchers can use #genderdata to advance #womenβs-equality & #empowerment in the U.S.? It seems more work is needed than even I had anticipated.
Well hello, Blue Sky! I hear this is where scientists, journalists, and educators are gravitating, so here I am.
Anyone interested in chatting about using #genderdata and #collectiveaction to get our #reprorights back & to end #violenceagainstwomen? Time for civic preparedness my academic friends!
