Check. Carfax!!! Avoid cars registered out of state. Try to only get 1-2 owners with lower mileage. AVOID VEHICLES INVOLVED IN MAJOR ACCIDENTS (carfax will tell you this in the reports… if it’s offered. Most gold certified cars at dealerships have it). Research the make/model of the car u want.

Not sure how far in car searching you are and if you need advice but!! I’ve recently totaled my car as well and had to spend a WHILE researching. Don’t waste your time on places like carvana or carmax. Get a certified pre owned from an official dealer 1/?
