Coming back from DCA early this morning, it was nice driving along the waterfront and seeing the DC memorials lit up. Everything was so peaceful.

The hypocrisy and hatred levered toward others who were "different" turned me off to any form of organized Christianity for two decades plus. I've landed with a church that is the exact opposite of those I rolled with all those years ago, and is very much "love everyone" in word *and* action.

My parents put me through a Christian school from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Through HS we studied other religious texts as a part of our "Bible" class. Personally, it was very enlightening and made me more aware of other religions, and that other belief systems were just fine.
