My league has skaters of all ages! I am 33 and play, but I have a few teammates in their 50s and some fresh out of high school! Some leagues have lots older skaters and some skew younger, so your mileage may vary depending on the league culture. But derby, as a whole is very age inclusive!

I think you should do it! Its ao much fun, a great way to make friends, and gets your body moving!

I cant speak to when the rule was made... but when I think about it, it makes sense in that it is a strategic thing (think hit it and quit it, but getting knocked out after scoring 2 points and then calling it). Lead jammer would lose a lot of the advantage without call off powers at any point.

Lead jammers can call off the jam when down or out of bounds.

Minnesota Roller Derby firmly stands against the executive order on trans athletes. Trans women are women, and belong in roller derby and all sports.
