He founded the #InciSioN Travel Scholars Program, advocated against visa barriers in global health, mentored hundreds, and authored 250+ papers.

He expanded who was allowed to belong in global surgery.

We are heartbroken to share that Dr. Dominique Vervoort has passed away after a long battle with melanoma. He was 31.

Co-founder of #InciSioN, architect of early global surgery advocacy, and host of IGSS2018. Dominique helped build the movement many now stand on.
