I will try it too. But it’s very early in the season still for me. What about you? They may need it as or after they lay eggs. Let’s encourage each other and check in on how it goes.🤗💖

If this doesn't qualify as good news, I don't know what DOES. Some vending machines in Japan don't require money during an earthquake. Working on a backup generator, they provide emergency Wi-Fi and sustenance.

The sky is filled with low, dark clouds, with a small gap along the far horizon allowing the bright orange sunset colors to shine through. This is mirrored on the gleaming, rippled waters of the pond. The only other splash of color in the scene is a small shrub right foreground with several bright red buds beginning to sprout.

🧵 We live in an anxious world & our homes have become places where we can lock out the stresses of life. My goal is to be mellow & that comes through in my art, where love, hope & joy are the themes. You can see my colourful one-off drawings in the thread, below. Mellow is golden! [1]

I went to the Lewis Walpole Library in 2015 to do the research for my undergraduate dissertation. I can say with no exaggeration that I owe my research career to date to that experience. It's a truly magical place in a beautiful setting 🗃️

A good use of an old building too at a time when they often demolished to make way for new "innovations". The book is full of excellent paintings with some 1830s views of York.

Founded shortly after the Norman Conquest, it was once the largest and most significant medieval hospital in northern England. The remaining ruins include the undercroft, chapel, and an entrance passage dating back to approximately 1240.
