Tough On Crime Unless They're Tories: The Shameful Hypocrisy of Pierre Poilievre and the CPC on Criminal Justice Conservatives love to posture about being tough on crime, as long as it's someone else committing it. When it's one of their own, well, they can be Premier or advisor to the Prime Minister.

Canadian conservatives have never been tough on the crimes of their friends, donors, and fellow conversatives. Niagard in Manitoba is a classic example. So is the fact that Winnipeg CAO and Mayor, Sheegl and Katz, were never charged criminally for accepting bribes from developers.

FWIW, the beliefs may fade but the memories and traditions stay with them. Which is why my 15yo and 22yo are still expecting some sort of chocolate hunt around the house this Easter. lol
