5Qs: Price Explores Challenges of Medicine, AI, and the Need for a Doctor ‘In the Loop’ | University of Michigan Law School Medical applications of artificial intelligence usually require a clinician to be involved—but clinicians may be ill equipped to fill oversight roles, Professor Nicholson Price argues in a new paper.

Clinicians are often unavailable, ineffective, or both, Professor @nicholson.bsky.social writes in the Emory Law Journal. Alternative structures will be necessary for AI to assist, he says.
