I feel like with most open world games, your movement is really hard to scale with the world.
#Fallout does pretty well with keeping things interesting, what with the random spawns and encounters that'll happen.

So you still end up walking/flying over it half the time to check up on it and make sure whatever is there isn't spreading.
This is something open world games have trouble with, where it takes too long to go places, and it feels instead like teleportation is mandatory to keep the map accessible.🧵

I really enjoy the way #terraria deals with its maps. Even on the small setting, the map still feels big, and it takes a lil bit to go anywhere.
Even if you can teleport, like with the pylons, if its a big distance over a problem area like any of the infections it can feel like you're ignoring them🧵
