Such wise words. There's so much to love about martial arts. It takes rigor and dedication but that's a good thing and there is so much to be gained. If more people were introspective, we wouldn't have as many problems. It isn't as much about fighting per se as many would think.

I wanted to study longer but the circumstances weren't there for me to continue at the time. It's always been something I wanted to get back into.

Understood. In martial arts you are taught how to defend yourself honorably. If you must fight, hand to hand is, in my view, the most honorable way to fight. I studied Tae Kwon Do for a while in college and I appreciated learning about the connection between mind and body and use of energy.

Hillary was right about the basket of deplorables -- there is a faction within the U.S. that consists of genuinely deplorable people who care more about sticking to the people they hate than protecting our representative democracy. They're bigots.

However, the Second Amendment was created so that we could defend ourselves from a tyrannical government, not to use them against each other. I think a citizen who is doing nothing wrong is within their Constitutional Right to use a firearm to protect themselves from this tyranny.

I can totally understand not liking guns. Many people who have access to them don't know how to use them properly and, of course, there are many people who use them with bad intentions. Also, many gun owners are statistically likely to shoot themselves or be shot by their own weapon.

Calling our House and Senate reps seems to help. They know they will catch hell back home if they cave to everything Trump wants. I remember a time when our President wasn't a psychotic, narcissistic, fascist, felon and con man.
