I, too, saw the post and then became a Scalzi fan, before I'd ever actually read any of his books since I'd spent some years in a heavy high fantasy kick at that time. This blog post led to reading the books, and that led me back to reading sci-fi in general.

Lived in a little rural farming community. Closest theater was in the nearest city. Used to drive 45-50 minutes each direction to see movies in the theater. Still prefer seeing movies in a theater if I can, but work interferes a lot now.

Having obviously helped very effectively from all the whimpering noises I was making, he then trotted off to his bed by the wall vent to bask in the hot air, look pleased with himself, and purr. He is sure he is The Most Helpful Cat Ever.

Moo decided he needed to help put away the groceries. He did not announce his presence the way he usually does, so I turned to put something away, and promptly almost tripped over him and pulled a muscle in my back trying to not actually fall or step on him.

A cute little birb that landed on the hotel window ledge and sang me a little song last April when I had to live in a hotel for 2 months while work was being done on the house.

The biopsy results were back today, and it's good. The mass that was found on imaging is not a malignancy. It's fat necrosis. No breast cancer. Whew!

I've been following D&D night stories since back on Livejournal. I live for these posts, they are chaotic joyful.

Biopsy today. So I'll know in a few days if it's cancer or not.
