Hey, all! Haven't shared much of our recent bouts, but we can finally announce the additions of 2 of our newest players: Remy and Oscar !!!!

Both have been a joy to have on the team thus far & we are looking forward to keep things moving with this new roster :D

I may not be an official sleepy squid anymore but it’s thanks to the progress I made with @sleepysquids-spl.bsky.social that I was able to surpass my previous all time peak of S+3 this season with S+5! Thank you Sleepy Squids!

I will also note that we are looking for 2 players instead of just 1 this time as currently half our standing roster have had life-related circumstances that have hindered our availabilities. The dream is not dead but we are hoping to have a roster that will round out schedules much more comfortably

Some of you might also notice that Mink has not been listed in any of this; we are still on good terms and intend to play with her from time to time, however her priorities have moved along to her newly formed team @ink-opaque.bsky.social 💗

..lastly, i would love to shout out Lor for being our absolute GOAT of a coach for us, alongside Lila for their time with Park and Drag for recently taking Mink under his wing

Additionally, we <3 you Deadweight, Weebs & O-Tako, Bath Bomb, and all of our other awesome scrim partners !!!

He has also put in a tremendous amount of work to meet us on our level and is an insanely good listener and learner

..But that brings us to where we are today! an extra special thank you again to Park, Blue, Dizzy, Mink, & Nash for carrying us through the heights we have been starting to reach now

His departure from the active roster left some pretty big shoes to fill, but did ultimately lead us to taking on A-Nash.

He may lack the history that the rest of us have together, but more than makes up for it in his relaxed and extremely friendly vibe ❤

...the time he felt necessary to pursue comp. He was never given a particularly strong send-off, but was an extremely commendable player for us and still deserves to have the sheer amount of time, effort, and energy that he put into participating in our team and our history acknowledged.

We rocked steadily for a very long time under the time and care of Park, Blue, Shrimp, Dizzy, and Mink, as the five of us undertook and had all things considered quite the strong LUTI run for its most recent season.

Unfortunately, as LUTI came to pass, so did Shrimp, who also struggled to find...

...Mink has and continues to be an excellent slayer for us, and almost immediately made massive strives in catching up to and even surpassing the rest of us to reach said heights 💙

Following LUTI, we hit a bit of a lull, ultimately coming to terms with Rew stepping down as well. In his place, we took in Dizzy who continues to this day to be our absolute mvp in the realm of support 🧡

Shortly after, we Eventually managed to pull through for Mink, and thank god for it...

Our original roster begins with Blue and Park making contact, with Park bringing along Bobby & Louis to round out the player count!

Though the latter two did not stick around, it was only a matter of time before we found Shrimp and Rew, who saw through our very first season of LUTI (S14) !!!

Yesterday we officially hit our 2nd year anniversary!!

Very happy to still be kicking despite how much has changed since that day

In commemoration, this thread will also include our previous team shoots to celebrate those who are no longer playing with us o7

the Sleepy Squids did, in fact, play A41 #39 this past friday!! we even managed to pull through to the silver bracket after some really close scores on the board in our group; still insanely proud of our efforts that night!!! 💥💥💥

not much to sneeze at in our placement, but quite the share of close games and at least a few small Ws along the way :D
