In today's REC Seminar, Natalie van Dis gave a talk titled: "Population buffering effect of vegetation heterogeneity in the Glanville fritillary butterfly depends on the type of climatic perturbation" 🦋

On Wednesday, we carried out a 2-part experiment on the effects of good food and great company on a community of ecologists and statisticians at the REC Christmas party.
N = 31.
Community structure: Skewed towards postdocs with some professors and other staff.
Initial results: Very promising! 🎄✨

In this week’s REC seminar, Post doc Bastien Parisy discussed the complex relationship between plants and soil microbes, and how both environmental change and plant health shape these interactions. 🌾

Michael is a postdoctoral researcher at the Laine lab. His work focuses on plant-pathogen interactions.
