My favorite genre is scary/sad with a tiny thread of hope, so I really liked this one.

Congrats again to all of our winners! And congrats to everyone who entered… Because you showed up and wrote a story…and, damnit, you should be proud of yourself. I’m sure we will see many of these stories published elsewhere—because it’s always really difficult to narrow down to a top 10.
