Just published in Agricultural Systems: Looks matter! Drought-tolerant maize variety promoted through trial packs did not *look* more drought-tolerant than older varieties, consistent with farmers' perceptions. This offers a potential reason for low future use. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

Super happy our #AgSys paper “Inclusive and gender-transformative seed systems: Concepts and applications” is now online!
Key highlight for me is that social/multimedia can be a powerful strategy to impact social and gender norms at various levels of seed systems.

Whilst making a #2024wrapped IG reel, I realized that thanks to both work and triathlon travel, I 🏃♀️ on every continent (minus Antarctica 🇦🇶) this year!!
No matter how light I travel, my 🧳 always fits 👟 and the schedule always allows for a run - often even a scenic one! #worklifebalance ✈️

I can’t think of a better 1st post on Bluesky introducing myself than posting today’s #Econ5K 🏃♀️ result. With Ironman 70.3 World Champs just 2 weeks ago, followed by lots of hiking at sea level, and some junk miles 🚴♀️ the last few days, I’m happy that I could produce some speed back at elevation 🥳
