For me, it is their best album - β€œno ifs, no buts, no coconuts”

Here’s my 03 renumbered to match the one at the heritage railway where I volunteer

The log book of the full size loco shows it sometimes went from Newcastle up to Berwick-upon-Tweed: not the comfiest of rides at a maximum of 35mph

@headcode.app - I’ve tried to contact you via your website, but didn’t receive a confirmation email (not in my junk) to advise of a typo (should be Grand Central) and to request an enhancement so that rides are somehow marked in β€˜My Logs’ within your excellent App

But what if there was a Greggs sausage roll in each cab? Would you be up before 11am then?

Indeed they do, and now they also have two shops with a 24 hour licence (close to Central Station)

Did you go to the drive-through Greggs for your sausage roll supplies?

#BarterBooks in the old Alnwick railway terminus station has a high level model railway running above some of the book stands. Well worth a visit when you venture further north because the cafe might be selling stotties or β€˜singing hinnies’ (griddled scones)

@trainlogger.co.uk - your website solution is so much better than my good linked spreadsheets and pivot tables. Now I just need to update my online account with previous sightings and previous trips

Fortunately I have some downtime from next week whilst recovering from surgery - hey ho!

Whatever it was supposed to be on the return to NCL - a wait of over two hour at Ice Station Carlisle was blinking cold

The only good things about the initial delay to the 10:33 (if only):

1) it gave me time for some retail therapy in a CAR based model shop, and
2) a good chat to a GBRf driver

I was on the delayed 05:53 train from Preston to Carlisle, the delay caused by a failed Northern train at Hellifield

I was due to be on the cancelled 09:33 from CAR to NCL, so ended up on the same train back as you - at least they turned it into a 4 carriage nonstop express service

I’m impressed by them too and have a series of three on one long straight - they look superb in the dark changing in sequence firstly on the signal and then by each signal as the train has moved along the track

Much of that information is already scattered across the Internet on different websites and formats (e.g. html and PDF) ; so bringing it together sounds like a plan

If you can also include details of steam and diesel galas - then that would be the cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake

I too miss #TMRGUK and especially the epic layout by Matty Midland in his cellar. But with his layout being used for occasional promotional videos by #RailsOfSheffield - then I can see it now and then

Hopefully #BSMRGUK will grow over time

I got rid of Facebook, Twitter, and Masterdon a few years ago for various reasons - bored, toxic, and numpties in that order

This leaves BlueSky as my only social media account, and no one can DM me because I’m not going to prove I turned eighteen along time ago

Sorry to hear this news
One small blessing is that your Dad is now not suffering from dementia, but it doesn’t make it any easier for the family

The record player in the sixth form common room provided by introduction to this album - Working Man is my favourite track

Fingers crossed their tour comes here in 2026

My friend’s father was a P-51 Mustang pilot in the RAF. In 1944 he parachuted to the ground after his aircraft was disabled, he was captured, and survived the forced westward long march in 1945

I have seen his log book and his Caterpillar Club pin badge - priceless memories

That brings back memories of my trip on the Schwebebahn in 1977
It was a Saturday afternoon and the singing home fans were travelling to the football ground, but fell quiet at the station nearest to the stadium. The reason: one policeman slowly tapping his revolver on his other hand - total silence

That’s good to know - I just need to get 4 days free of family medical appointments, and workmen in the house
I’ve booked a Β£4 return for each of the following in the hope that our parents behave themselves and no resultant trips to A&E

To be honest that sounds a bit trashy (pun fully intended)

Is that the sequel once Private Ryan has been saved? It doesn’t sound like it will the same kind of action movie

Whilst on Bandcamp I stumbled across #RUSHfestScotland and their tribute albums to #NeilPeart that are released each year on the date of his birthday (12 September)

Neither did I know about their annual festival - May 2016 in Glasgow

When I worked in Barrow in the late 1980s, my digs where near Ulverston and most nights I would be in The Snug at The Rose & Crown on King St with a pint of Hartley XB (brewed in the town) and a Waberthwaite Cumberland sausage meal - those were the days

You’ve hit the nail on the head - 1) their debut album is a bit different, and 2) those albums are also two of their best
