My list of critiques of season 5 of Stranger Things is long (LONG) but you know what, here at the end of it, I’ll give the show props for this much:
They never tried to ape prestige by pointlessly invoking religious imagery and symbolism. ST’s metaphors are firmly secular, and I appreciate that.
