My list of critiques of season 5 of Stranger Things is long (LONG) but you know what, here at the end of it, I’ll give the show props for this much:
They never tried to ape prestige by pointlessly invoking religious imagery and symbolism. ST’s metaphors are firmly secular, and I appreciate that.
No doubt it’s been discussed before! But let’s keep hammering until the message gets home 😊
(Also if I can attend, this will be my first worldcon, so I’m just excited about it lol)
