It's officially too early to say what has happened, but it sounds similar to attacks we've seen in the Nordics where members of gangs with ties to Iran have thrown hand grenades at embassies - so far targets have been Israeli embassies.

Takk til Halden Næringsutvikling for å arrangere møtet og til representantene for en god og konstruktiv samtale. Østfold har alt som trengs for å bli et knutepunkt for sikkerhet og etterretning i Norge. Det krever bare at noen velger å bygge det. Vi gjør det.

Nå bygger vi lokal infrastruktur, utvikler kompetanse i samarbeid med utdanning og forskning, og jobber for å snu pendlertoget og trekke folk hit, ikke bare sende dem til Oslo.

Halden er en by som vil. Smart Innovation Norway, Halden Næringsutvikling og lokalsamfunnet har tatt imot oss og gjort en reell forskjell for selskapet.

Men vi diskuterte også utfordringene. Om tilgang til kompetanse og kapital utenfor Oslo. Om et virkemiddelapparat som sentraliseres og kuttes i en tid der vi trenger det motsatte. Om behovet for at norsk offentlig sektor gjør det enklere, ikke vanskeligere, å kjøpe fra innovative norske selskaper.

Vi snakket også om hvorfor sivil etterretningskapasitet er en forutsetning for at totalforsvaret skal fungere i praksis.
