βI brought my 11-month-old son into A&E on the advice of the RRV paramedic who came out to us.
He was suffering from bronchiolitis and his breathing took a rapid decline that evening.
We went straight to CAU, who took us over to Buxton Ward, and despite how worrying it was for me, the staff were absolutely amazing.
The care my son received was incredible. Every person we saw was honest and informative and answered every single question I had. They all treated my son beautifully from arrival to discharge.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping me grounded without even realising it.
Itβs only since we have been home and Iβve had time to process things that Iβve realised how incredibly scary that situation could have been had we not been cared for so well.β

βI wish to sincerely thank everyone in the High Dependency Unit (HDU) at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for the outstanding care you provided to my wife during her recent stay.
To the consultant, Mr Sam Hettiarachchi, assistant surgeon Dr Abdela, anaesthetist Dr Laba, and the entire nursing team on the ward - your professionalism, compassion, and dedication were evident in every aspect of her care.
Your expertise and kindness made a significant difference to her recovery and our experience as a family. Iβd also like to extend my thanks to the ward clerks, who played a vital role in coordinating her care and answering our questions with such warmth and efficiency.
The care and support my wife received in HDU were outstanding, and weβre so grateful to each and every one of you for your hard work and commitment to patient wellbeing.
Please pass on our thanks to the whole team. Thank you again for taking such good care of my wife.β
