Esme and 55 other young patients under our Cystic Fibrosis care have been given wearable fitness trackers to encourage them to exercise.

Meet Alex Watson who joined us in December as our hospitalβs first Memory Maker.
Working across all adult in-patient wards, she will lead and co-ordinate a dedicated team of trained volunteers who will offer compassionate support to patients and their families as they approach the end of life.

A former international footballer has joined one of our surgeons in calling for greater awareness of oesophageal and gastric cancers.
Sammy Morgan, who played for Northern Ireland, was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer and referred to Prof Bhaskar Kumar, oesophagogastric cancer lead at NNUH.

The appointment is part of a collaboration to expand our research activity.
