Listened to this at 6 minutes in or so. It’s not directly stated, but it appears the reason that Mamdani has not directed H+H to absorb trans patients is out of fear of the federal government. “It’s part of the game we have to play with the federal government .”

It’s the EXACT logic NYU is using.

Absolutely BEGGING news organizations to not accept the framing of "we accept them, they just have to be their assigned sex at birth for all purposes" as a win for trans people.

Headline: "Good news! Pete Hegseth wanted Scouting America to ban trans kids. The organization said no way!"

Actual story: "We do not put boys and girls together in intimate spaces and in order to do that we need to have some knowledge of who they are," Krone said.

The reason I fight so hard for trans kids is because I was a trans kid myself. I knew who I was in the year 2000, 12 years old, behind my computer, using the name Erin. I wanted puberty blockers so badly. My body shifted and changed in horrifying ways that I suffered for 15 years over.

It's normal to restrict or move away from treatments when evidence of harms starts to outweigh evidence of benefits.

It's not normal to restrict or move away from treatments when there is evidence of benefits and none of harms, even if the evidence of benefits is "low quality."

Many cis people like myself need HRT just to get through the days. This is bad.

Turns out when you disregard tens of thousands of trans people saying "omg this vastly improved my quality of life", it becomes unclear whether or not puberty blockers do any good.

funny that

“We can’t actually prove harm so we are denying it solely because we have control over this lesser class of citizens who we are openly admitting that we won’t talk to”

Also why “advocates” and “advocacy groups” annoy me now

Worth noting that the nhs will put up as many roadblocks as possible when they consider responses from HCPs and advocacy groups. It will be a needlessly drawn out process. People will get tired and forgetful and the pause will only get longer it’ll basically become a complete stop.

I'll just say I don't think most cis people care if trans people exist or not because they don't think "they'll" ever be the trans people or the muslims of the day. They don't see how this advances to the point that you get even straight cis white guys shot by the state to the sound of crickets.

09.03.2026 14:38 — 👍 58    🔁 19    💬 1    📌 0

Cis people need to pay attention to the way they communicate this. They freely admit that after all of their research, they came up with zero evidence that HRT was harmful.

Then they banned it anyway, claiming their inability to find a reason is a reason in of itself.

Missouri Advances Three Anti-Trans Bathroom Ban Bills In One Night “This is a make-or-break moment with what just happened in Kansas.”

1. Missouri appears to be forging ahead with 3 bathroom bans in public buildings across the state.

They heard 3 bills in a single night on the topic.

Lawmakers are worried that we could see what happened to Kansas happen there too.

The latest from our writer S. Baum.

8. It remains unclear why Republicans are pushing an even more extreme version of a bill their own governor has already vetoed three times. The bill still needs to pass the New Hampshire Senate and be signed by Ayotte to become law.

New Hampshire’s ‘bathroom bill’ vetoed for the third time • New Hampshire Bulletin Gov. Kelly Ayotte vetoed Senate Bill 268 Friday, which would allow transgender people to be excluded from restrooms, locker rooms, jails, and other spaces that don’t match their sex at birth.

5. The bill passed just weeks after Governor Kelly Ayotte vetoed a separate bathroom ban. Republicans are now sending her something far more aggressive—raising the question of whether they are trying to move the goalposts or simply daring her to veto again.

2. The bill literally says: " It shall be unlawful for any person to assert that their gender identity is a sex other than that defined in RSA 21:3 for the purposes of accessing places or services restricted on the basis of sex," enforcing the ban under the civil rights act.

New Hampshire House Passes Trans Public Bathroom Ban That Bans "Asserting" Ones Identity The bill is more extreme than a recent one vetoed by the governor.

Individuals who carefully followed the rules in place until just last week now face criminal penalties for having the "wrong" gender marker on their identity documents. Simply driving to the Division of Vehicles to change a license back to one's birth sex becomes
"operating a vehicle without a valid credential," a Class B misdemeanor, punishable by up to six months in jail, a $1,000 fine, and a 90-day license suspension.
More troubling, officials are required to keep a list of everyone who reverts the gender marker on the driver's license back to their birth sex. According to
an email obtained by independent journalist Marissa Kabas, Ken Selk, Driver's Services Manager for the Kansas Department of Vehicles, instructed employees to track people complying with SB 244.

The Kansas law labeled existing IDs as no longer legal, was implemented without giving people a reasonable window to change their IDs, and establishes a special state database to track and monitor trans people. Is there any other group for whom this would be acceptable?

Harper to the judge: "Your driver's license doesn't list your height and weight at birth. It doesn't list where you used to live. It identifies who you are now."

This is the thing about bathroom bans targeting trans people - assault is already a crime! Indecent exposure is already a crime! And laws that protect trans people don't suddenly make them legal

This story is wild. As far as I can tell from the body camera clips I watched, the footage shows MPD special operations strategizing their forcible entry into private property without a warrant, based on the say-so of a political appointee with nothing more than a stack of print outs.
