RIP Ralph Towner, so many beautiful records. Spotted him in the Woodstock movie, preparing to hit the stage with a v. strung out Tim Hardin. Towner assumed it was another lil folk festival gig - then he looked down from the helicopter. He was 19.

Loved it. Enjoyed how you contrasted him w/ Fauré - definitely now hearing "Pièces froides" as a (loving?) parody of his ceaseless harmonic contortions. Also your piece made me want to play this Satie chord a few times in a row, v. healing

Welcome to the KAT experience. Stick with him, though - we all still love him in Minnesota, even with all the frustrating shit he did/does (stupid fouls, whining to refs, etc.). But he's still a beast (and a legit good dude by all accounts!)
