As a side note, my boss knew I got the preorder. I had run out for my lunch break just to secure it 😂

She also told me to have fun this weekend and think of it as a breather before her time off next week when I'm helping cover her desk 🥲

My boss' response? "What you do in your spare time is not any of my business. It's your time."

She then began to reminisce about playing video games herself (She's remembers playing intelevision amico as a kid)

I think I'm more embarrassed that I tried to hide what I was doing this weekend 😅

I sometimes forget how much I'm used to being judged.

I was going over my desk with my boss and my coworker as I took the next 2 days off. And it came up that was using mini my vacation to pick up and play the Switch 2. My coworker is playfully jealous that I was able to get one on preorder.

I'm not going to lie, I think I'm hitting a big low in life right now. I just don't know what to do...

Friends and family around me have semi-convinced me to get a second opinion. My hopes are not high, but I'll try for them

Most of the cost comes from the lenses themselves. To get everything I was recommended, it pushed it the cost up to about $1000 alone without the frames.

Granted, this is all in CAD... so my princing probably sounds way higher than it is to others

Back home from my eye consult and found out I'm not a good candidate for laser eye surgery.

I was flatly told it would be better for me to stick with buying $1,500+ in glasses and contacts every 2 years for the rest of my life.

Dark thought... would it be cheaper to be blind?😢

In about an hour and a half, I'll be running the finale of a #DnD campaign I've been running for almost three years.

I'm so nervous! This is the first TTRPG campaign I've ever completed out of a dozen pr so started and stopped for various reasons

I am absolutely going to cry.
