That actually kind of makes sense.... but it doesn't make up for the 'herb' thing.

Not like it would be justified if they were drug smugglers, but I think it hasn't gotten enough focus that a boat with 11 people onboard heading from Venezuela to Trinidad was almost certainly migrants. These were probably, at least for some of them, people fleeing Maduro. That's who they murdered.

Bloomberg has published the transcript of a conversation between Putin’s negotiators about the peace plan before it was handed over to the United States.

OpenAI has said that it plans to spend more than USD1 trillion, and is vague about how it will be paid for, which I think is what the article is referring to. OpenAI isn't a public company, so we don't know how much debt it has, but it has promised to spend in that region.

Yes, ORCL already has negative free cash flow. It's an odd one out. Fundamentally, I tend to think that there isn't a single AI trade. There are multiple different AI trades. Some of the valuations are indeed crazy and some of the business plans seem very back-of-an-envelope.

If you're a company and you plan to build a data center for $50 billion, you can finance that with equity or debt. Debt is cheaper and your shareholders might prefer it. There are pros and cons, but using debt is rational.

And debt levels aren't particularly high for US companies at the moment.

SOME of it is being financed by debt. I haven't crunched the numbers, but I'd be surprised if it was more than 20%, just anecdotally.

It's true though. In February, the days are getting longer. You can look forward to only having another month or so of cold. In November you know it's only going to get worse.

I 100% agree with this. When I lived in London I hated November. December is the second-worst month, but November has no redeeming features. It's miserable and then it gets worse. Also, sleet sucks. Sleet is the easily the worst precipitation and I kind of associate sleet with November too.
