I’ve been working on the Goodbye Page update a lot more this week, and I should have some new animations to share soon. I want to try posting 3D and game projects more regularly again after finally getting back to a working schedule.

Will make a long video on it soon, but I had a blast with the NTE (Neverness To Everness) beta. It’s so massive it’s hard to summarize. There are flaws, but it’s some of the most genuine fun I’ve had with these types of gachas in a while. A lot to discuss, this will take a while!

Silver Palace beta has been over for a little while now, and I still feel similarly to before. It’s absolutely gorgeous, though also kind of terribly optimized. But I think it has potential, especially if they make the world more interactive and stop dumbing down the mystery.

Shiboyugi's EP 2 is great, but it does make me wish the 50 minute format of the first ep. However the series continues to be pure eye candy. But what I wanted to talk more about was the amazing ED visuals by Hewa. Their use of primary colors dominates each environment.

I find Yuki’s character really interesting. She chose who to kill based on proximity rather than even thinking about who else was there. I see her as someone almost dissociating from her situation, narrating her thought process in third person.

The counting numbers and knowing someone will die just make you dread the inevitable, and when it comes, it’s not gory, it’s not bloody, yet it’s highly disturbing, especially the second death in the episode with its brutal screams.

Shiboyugi's beautiful visual experience really contrasted with the fact that it made my stomach turn at times during the premiere. Its use of far-away shots and reduced character features makes us feel like we’re part of the viewers putting them through the death game.

He wants to go back to a state of purity, which is also where I came up with the creation of Orb. A white sphere is so plain, with no edges; it is completely smooth, and I liked the idea of that representing the purest form of humankind.

I wanted each painting to be a self-portrait of Page's dad’s inner turmoil, and it is one of the clearer rooms to understand. I played with simple geometry because I can't draw, and it felt like a basic way to show the dad's inability to ever feel normal.

I have always liked settings contrasted by a black background, like the void, and thought a floating gallery would represent that well. The 1 week limit kept things simple. I drew in CSP and used Fotosketcher to apply some effects.

Another great aspect of the anime is just seeing the characters. We had this with SQ in episode 1, but seeing Yuriko so haughty and watching the debate almost as an outsider adds so much to her character. The anime is largely doing justice to the characters themselves.

I’m late to write about Gnosia, but it’s such a great adaptation so far. I think it improves the story, which in the game feels more segmented. I especially love the visual in this episode of Yuri and Stella as two fish in a tank, showing that they really only have each other.
