Jordan Peele's terrifying sophomore feature film returns to the silver screen this Thursday, February 20 at the Capitol! The screening begins at 6:30 p.m. and is rated R. Starring Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke, and Elisabeth Moss.

The Capitol presents A SPIKE LEE JOINT! Stop by the Capitol next Saturday, February 22 to catch two features from acclaimed filmmaker Spike Lee! Movie one (PG-13) at 5 p.m. and movie two (R) at 7:15 p.m.

Looking for early Valentine's Day plans? This Thursday, 2/13 at 6:30 p.m, the Capitol will be hosting a free screening of this early 2000s romance starring Omar Epps and Sanaa Lathan! This story tells of talented athletes who have a love for the game of basketball and each other. Rated PG-13.

Join us at the Capitol on Tuesday, 2/11  at 6:30 p.m. for a free screening of O Pioneer, a documentary feature. Directors Jonathon Lococque and Clara Lehmann will be available for a Q+A opportunity!

This Monday, February 3, come by the Capitol for one of our two subtitled screenings of this Sidney Poitier starring classic! Our matinee screening begins at 2:00 p.m. and will be followed up by our evening screening at 6:30 p.m. Both will be subtitled. No tickets required. Concessions will be sold.

Come by the Bob Kirby Branch on Thursday, February 6, at 6:00 p.m. for another illuminating presentation from Phyllis Biffle Elmore, the author of the memoir Quilt of Souls!

That's a wrap! We hosted the last Storytime in the Snow Dome yesterday with Chase and Skye and a host of enthusiastic fans! Many thanks to all of the adults who bundled up and brought their children to listen to stories and meet the characters this season at the SoKY Ice Rink!

Bailey Vandiver kicks off WCPL’s Black History Month celebration with a presentation on Russellville’s own Alice Dunnigan, the first Black woman to be credentialed to the White House & Capitol press corps in 1947! This event will take place at the Capitol on Saturday, February 1 at 6:00 p.m.
