We are in Mafia shakedown land here. Here is a prediction. All of this money will go into what will become known as the "President's Fund" which will allow Trump to dispense favours as he tries to buy elections and punish opponents. It is a slush fund.

FFS.

He didn't "kick off".

It's not a "jibe".

He said, with dignity and restraint, what we were all thinking - that Al-Obeid didn't just "die" - he, like tens of thousand of other innocent civilians, was killed by Israel as part of its ongoing programme of ethnic cleansing.

The fact that the Independent Reviewer of Terrorism Legislation endorsed the decision to proscribe PA without thinking about these inevitable consequences really is staggering.

This is not what counter-terrorism legislation is for.

I really think he should be considering his position tonight.

A cold-blooded triple killer, set free in a cynical U.S.-Venezuela swap. Justice crushed under the boot of political games. Freedom bought with a priceβ€”because in America’s shadow, even murder is just another transaction. Darkness thrives where power profits.

They arm apartheid and genocide.

But don't you dare protest for peace.

Because that's real terrorism.

The police action today against Palestine peaceful protectors is absurd and dangerous. The banning of Palestine Action was a foolish and reactionary act by Cooper and Starmer faced with Netanyahu's blatant terrorism.

Why England’s new towns should look to medieval France The UK government’s taskforce is preparing to publish its next-generation proposals. Could the markets, maisons and master planning of Europe’s still thriving 13th-century towns provide the answers?

I like this. One difference, which isn’t mentioned in the piece, is that the French village will have a (surprisingly powerful) mayor and council. Whereas we think it is a good idea to have feeble local government and a mayor representing all of central southern England.

At least 200 arrests at protest in support of proscribed group Palestine Action Palestine Action has been proscribed since 5 July, making it a criminal offence to show support for the organisation - but police said a "significant number" were carrying placards backing the group.

This ban is a joke!

πŸ“Š #IFSSatStat: Proposed reforms to English councils' funding allocation system will create big winners and losers.

One-in-four authorities will see real-terms increases in funding of 12% or more over the next three years, with another one-in-four seeing real-terms funding cuts.
