It's worked on me. My wife is here legally and it angers me to think that they could detain her because of her skin color and status. She should never be required to carry or show it, they need to do their due diligence before arresting/detaining anyone. Pisses me off.

There are a large groups of ex-pats there, so there's always a community to fit into if you need a support group.

Thailand, they just made same sex marriages legal and it's always been a safe haven for LGBTQ. Beautiful country, wonderful food, lovely people. My wife is from there and we can't wait to retire there.
