Exactly. An authoritarian regime along with a safe majority - means a written constitution is worthless. Singapore for example, has changed its about 20 times, since the state began in 1965. I prefer the U.K. way.

A single written or codified constitution brings its own difficulties. I’m thinking of the right to bear arms in the US. The UK relies on written documents and laws such as the Human Rights Act 1998, but there’s no one, “The Constitution" in writing. But then we haven’t had a revolution for a while

Interestingly the original bathroom that Trump replaced, had a toilet with a concealed cistern. More modern and expensive looking and easy on the eye. And the rail on the basin is for a hand towel as it should be, not for a toilet roll. Seems he used unskilled contractors with no designer input.

I’ve designed a lot of bathrooms. The toilet is of the type you find in cheap rentals-exposed cistern with exposed pipes behind. Never put a loo-roll holder on the basin. The tissue gets soggy. You’re going to need a long left arm too. My bathroom for comparison- done on a budget. Trump has no class
