It's not nothing.

My friend Nina is a freaking powerhouse. This is a fantastic review by someone with an incredible breadth of knowledge and a "should-be-impossible-to-be-this-good" level of talent to put that knowledge to use.

(And she's also right. This album, which I knew nothing about before, rules, too.)

In my pre-season review I wrote, "Spruell is so perfect, both in look and in performance, it feels like Martin used a time machine when he wrote the character and based Maekar on Spruell’s future performance."

Between look and performance I don't think anybody better captured the character as written in Martin's story.

Totally agree. That's why I said "decent" and specifically mentioned putting together talented teams. He's pretty historically bad at resigning guys and it's pretty well documented why.

You have no idea how much I agonized for weeks trying to figure out whose sigil was "a bird in a chalice" only to finally realize it was a lamb and they'd changed House Stokeworth's.

Very unpopular opinion: I think Jerry is actually a decent GM who's good at identifying talent. Problem is he's a terrible owner. He's put together some very talented teams as General Manager. but his ego as an owner has led to him consistently hiring awful coaches who won't upstage him.

And this doesn't even factor in stuff like a) not having Finn ever actually tell Rey his secret despite teasing it constantly b) introducing new characters for no reason and c) introducing a major concept like a Force dyad five seconds before it matters/doesn't matter.

It’s easy to think writing is mainly the transcription of ideas you already have—that is, until you try to write something worthwhile, and you find what you thought were saying transform into something far more interesting in the process. This skips that last step, and that is *not* an improvement.

Same is absolutely true about the specific ways the enchanted castle works in Beauty and the Beast.
