Beautifully written. I sent a letter to Senator Thune last December, begging him to be a bulwark against the fascism his own father fought in World War II. Instead, he’s ushered it in. May this South Dakotan’s letter reach his desk, his heart, and what decency may still survive in his soul.

I cancelled an upcoming reservation with Enterprise and wrote a letter to its CEO explaining why. She is the founder’s granddaughter. He was a World War II Navy vet. I reminded her that he fought for the principles that the government Enterprise is currently abetting is destroying.

One approach (and we’re going to need a lot of different approaches) is having a list of easily provable facts to share when talking with other people. So instead of pronouncing that the Trump Admin is corrupt, list each pardon and the consideration paid for it.
