First prerelease of the new SWU set, went 2 wins and a draw. I think this deck was a little weak, but some strong plot lines. I don’t regret splashing Beguile twice, that card is super good

BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense is pretty good

yeah the resourcing/resource decision making is cool. It doesn’t quite have that Magic experience like the stack but the games are interesting and complex still. Plus SWU has good limited/draft experience, which is a big factor for me

I’ve been wanting to try out Riftbound! All of the events near me have been sold out, even tried going to their booth at PAX and there was an insane line. People seem hyped for the game tho

yeah I’m done with magic at this point. I can’t keep up with 7 standard sets a yr (some of being UB “premium priced” sets) as a mostly standard player, even if I wanted to. The release schedule is insane. I’ve been playing Star Wars Unlimited and it’s just as fun n doesn’t put a hole in my wallet

idk maybe I’m underestimating the value you get from immediately drawing the card with something like spirited companion vs this where you have to wait for your opponent to attack into it

for limited? it seems very strong, 2 drop that draws a card is usually a good effect and this is hard for your opponents to play around since they need to attack you eventually. maybe it should be a 1/1 with the ‘can’t block’ text that way you have to work harder to get the card?

after seeing the new Alien: Earth episode, I no longer want to drink anything that’s been out of my sight more than 5 seconds 🫣
