It tells you something about the disorientating rate of change underway that nobody is particularly shocked that a head of state has been assassinated by other states, something which has *never happened* in the modern era. Which is illegal under US law. Shed no tears for Khamanei, but still.

Screenshot of a ChatGPT Plus subscription cancellation page. The page confirms the subscription will end on March 15, 2026. It lists benefits that will be lost: access to GPT-5 with advanced reasoning, more messaging and uploads, extra image creation, and access to agent mode. A dropdown menu shows "Other" selected as the cancellation reason, with a text field below containing the user's typed reason: "doing questionable deals with US gov." Buttons at the bottom offer "Keep subscription" and "Cancel subscription."

Fascinating! Very different to rural Ireland. By aunt who died in 1998 aged 103 lived on potatoes, wheaten bread and buttermilk. Meat was indeed a rarity.

25.02.2026 12:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0An old monochrome picture postcard of a brick built gothic-ish building. The image occupies 5/8 of the card; printed top right is Manchester, and below New Technical School. The image has cut outs for the windows and the crescent moon, and a sheet of lighter paper is sandwiched behind.
Here's a #HigherEducationPostcard of the Technical School, Manchester - once UMIST, now part of @manchester.ac.uk
If you hold the card up to the light, all the windows and the moon look lit up

No sewing machines when posted to hostile terrain with no electricity. Thereβs a story of social/cultural change in the decades that followed.

Do you know a man who would like to sew?
I'm trying something - classes for men. A client commented that they found classes of women a bit intimidating so I figured I'd see if classes for men would be of interest.
What do you think?
