I remember the old thehogs.net days when your mom would post about how you were gonna be a reporter someday, and you made it happen! Sports pages carry newspapers. Gutting the sports section would be a complete disaster

The sports section at The Washington Post is one of the few remaining where the goal is to cover the whole of sports in the same way an organization covers news. And that is huge. If it is sabotaged, the sports ecosystem loses a huge chunk of serious reporting and meaningful commentary.

Designing sports has been the highlight of my time at The Washington Post and I would be devastated if I was no longer able to do that. It was my dream to work here and I've been lucky to do that for the past 9 years.
