The Guardian. Britain’s net zero economy is booming, CBI says. Green sector growing at triple the rate of the UK economy, providing high-wage jobs and increasing energy security.

Net zero now makes up nearly 5% of the Scottish economy, providing over 100,000 full-time jobs.

While the UK economy sits stagnant, net zero has grown by over 20% in Scotland since 2022.

It's not just environmentally necessary, it represents a huge economic opportunity.

I attended a meeting of the South Yorkshire Bat Group tonight to discuss our response to the Planning Refor Paper on Development & Nature Recovey. I was explaining to my girls that the government says economic growth is being slowed by slow development because of bats & newts. They were sceptical.
