I've just realised that this isn't as mad as it sounds, because he's just trained himself on many, many AI responses, where it just has supreme confidence in something and hasn't remotely bothered to look at any evidence for or against.

"It does X, unless you can explain X to me, so I can see that it doesn't do X" is just an absolutely wild position to take on *any* subject

Still think it's pretty bad they've been so badly caught with their pants down over HMS Dragon. It should have got going as soon as it had food and fuel on board, and munitions could have been loaded in Gibraltar or something. Heck, they could have delivered them by Chinook while it was underway.

If they weren't planning to get involved, that was probably seen as the prudent course of action - slight increase in capability in the vicinity, from a defensive point of view, but no threatening massive build up.

To be fair, we did send planes *to* Akrotiri in the weeks leading up to the attacks, presumably, in part at least, based on this information.
