TEKKONKINKREET One thing that was fun but also complicated was the large number of costume changes. Shiro had EIGHT outfits (included naked). Black also eight (not counting the Minotaur).

trying out some character costume ideas

Over the years I moved away from pen & paper animation, as many clients would opt for cheaper digital processes. But seeing how industry is conspiring to make creatives' labour & IP completely valueless, it's a great time to dust off my lightbox, so at least I own something physical from my work.

One of Syd Mead’s matte painting concepts for Blade Runner (1982).
Once the plates were shot, Mead painted over enlarged prints. These were then accurately reproduced as full scale mattes.
