I’m watching “The Loss” from #StarTrek TNG. I realized that Troi’s patient, played by Kim Braden, also played Picard’s wife in the Nexus in “Generations”!

Does this mean Picard had the hots for this random crew member?

Barely ever watched it, and I had a Matt Tracker figure that I found in a parking lot. I was also a GI Joe kid. Maybe it was the theme song!

I believe this is the episode where I talk about the history of Kenner in relation to MASK. Star Wars definitely put them on the map!

“Kay Kellogg®️ Needle/Recipe Pak”. It is a small folded cardboard pamphlet, on a purple background and has two images of Kellogg cereal - All Bran and Bran Buds. It also includes 40 needles and a needle threader.

Amongst the many sewing bits and bobs I inherited from my grandmother, this one might be one of the weirdest.

Now I’m blessed enough to be friends with a few writers, so I live vicariously.

That’s frustrating. The furthest I got in the industry was being part of a development meeting to adapt an indie comic book to a movie. I took the notes, wrote a treatment… and then the comic creators, brothers, omit mad at each other and called it off.

Your show sounds great. I started life wanting to be a screenwriter, and was one of the many who didn’t make it.

I know this approach might not work for everyone, but it’s what I’ve made work for my process.

With the rhythm I have of writing, recording and editing, I complete the season before I record. So it’s all writing, all recording, and then all editing. For me, I can hyper focus on each part and specialize, instead of a cycle of record, edit, record edit.

That I am not sure of. I’ve been fortunate enough to have a stable system that doesn’t give me any problems.

My system is simple: Blue Yeti mic, Audacity to edit. Since everything is scripted, I use a tablet as a teleprompter so no one hears the rustle of a page turning.

I also mask a lot of the background with low volume music or ambient sounds.

When I edit, if something is really bad, I’ll re-record a line or two. But that’s getting rarer.

So I haven’t had a technical issue like that. A hum could be a cable, though.

I record in my basement studio, and my 5 kids are usually in the living room above. With the dogs. I’m not worried about perfect audio. I have the luxury of paused, and then continuing and knowing I’ll have an edit later.

That’s amazing!

The Jetsons took place in 2062. Give it another 30+ years, I’m sure we’ll get there 🤣
