WOW: The White House says the president's MAIN PRIORITY is his BALLROOM. SNAP is ending. Subsidies for health care are gong to double and in some instances quadruple plan premiums. The government is shut down. The cost of living is through the roof. And his priority is his ballroom.

I just spent a *shocking* amount of money on a relatively small amount of food, and I live in one of the cheapest states for groceries. this is not sustainable, at all. if WIC & SNAP expire in a week and a half, it's going to be a massive national crisis. where is the media on this???

I have a young relative who lost her job and is currently looking for another. She had a zoom interview for a position, and I overheard part of it. The employer asked her if she had kids, how old they are, and about their daycare.

Those questions lead to discrimination…obviously.

If we had a functioning government those questions would be grounds for a lawsuit.

Ya know, if I didn’t know better I’d swear there was some serious concern in the halls of power about letting a person who intends to upset the status quo become mayor of one of the most diverse cities in the world. Maybe because he said why not instead of why?
