they(hq tiktok) hate my goat bc he’s too good

he watches as atsumu's boat sails further and further towards the shore. kiyoomi drifts and hunts in the area for weeks that drag into months, hiding from other ships but never glimpsing the boat his human is on.

kiyoomi follows the boat the next day, trying to catch a glimpse of his human before he has to stop because the water is too shallow, he’s so far away from his usual depths and he can’t risk getting any closer...

neck and carefully drapes it over kiyoomi’s head and kiyoomi wants to die because this human is giving him everything but he’s going to leave. eventually atsumu climbs back up the side of the ship and kiyoomi is distraught and sulking because atsumu didn’t get it.

kiyoomi pulls at his wrist more urgently, trying to get him to come with him but atsumu just gently chides him, letting his other hand gently run his fingers over kiyoomi’s claws. kiyoomi tries different noises trying to get him to understand but all atsumu does is pull a golden chain from over his

kind of become friends (even thought atsumu knows his heart racing every time he sees the siren isn't just because of the excitement of seeing a creature his mama used to tell him about at bedtime stories, it's because of dark eyes, and the careful way he cradles gifts from atsumu and more).

and instead holds still, watching kiyoomi with undisguised awe. and kiyoomi rumbles low in his chest, like a strange purr to try and get atsumu to understand that he’s staying 'stay don’t go i can’t go with you' and atsumu just laughs at his siren because he’s so strange and isn’t sure how they’ve

atsumu has snuck off deck down to the waves to see him kiyoomi comes swimming to him and does something he hasn’t done before and grips atsumu’s wrist. he's slow and careful as he reaches out with clawed hands that easily circle atsumu’s wrist, but the pirate doesn’t flinch away at all

after weeks of them spending time together and kiyoomi following the boat kiyoomi realises the boat is heading closer to the shore and is concerned, because while he knows that humans don’t stay on the seas all the time he can’t risk coming too close to the shore. so one evening, when

atsumu has tied it around his neck with rope carefully looped around it, almost hidden under atsumu's shirt. and when he sees this, kiyoomi can't help the satisfaction that pools in his chest, that he's laid claim to this strange, strong human even if the other doesn't know it.
