Man, I have such conflicting feelings for that mag. On the one hand, Bill Donohue, the editor, legit helped me find my comedic voice because he and I would email each other back in the UGP days.

On the other hand, he's gone crazy-go-nuts hard right now, and SO MUCH of retro gaming feels that way.

February, said goodbye to my oldest cat, Stalker.

April, said goodbye to my next oldest cat, Sheldon.

Last night, said goodbye to my next oldest cat, Addie.

My family went from 5 cats to 2 in five months.

My heart hurts.

Four of the five images from The Megas concert on Games Done Quick that I'm 99.999999% certain are AI.

Disappointed! I don't know if it's The Megas or GDQ who made this choice.

Aaaayup; at first I thought the Wily one was some obscure TV show character, but as soon as the others came up....oof. Good job clipping that, and yeah that's disappointing :(

...although I think they used AI art for their first song? The second batch of robot names they said, they had "pics" of robots.

Martha was absolutely perfect as the well meaning, tech ignorant Mom, and Jon was perfect as the dad who wants to say something but keeps getting distracted by minutia. It felt so lived in!
