Complications? It's just a work relationship. But suddenly it dawns on her that maybe humans have relationships outside of work, and she's never experienced one before. Hmm...

Full synchronization with a soul? God, that really does sound like what she does in order to Soul Hack. Her functions are different, more geared towards healing broken souls, but... Hey, that could be helpful, right? Seems like people are out there that know how to fix a Netnavi, but not so many ⤵️

"Whoa, thanks." Ringo smiles as she accepts the gift. "Y'know, I've been wondering. Is being friends with a demon you're not contracted to weird? The Jack guys under my command are all pretty chill, but you're just out here living your best life. We don't always have to battle, though, right?"

"Oh, y'know. I just got chased by one of your friends all the way up and down a tower, and then four of you ganged up, held my whole team down, and helped your boss SHOOT ME IN THE LEG. Nothing much!"

Returning to the topic of her job makes Ringo feel tired. She stretches her arms behind her back and yawns. "I work as a volunteer at an orphanage," she explains. "Free room and board, but... sooooo exhausting."

Ringo would tease the Jack about being a beggar, but she cuts him a break and just flags down the bartender immediately. The house special is a pretty good crowd pleaser, so she slides the worker some Macca and a bottle is prepared for the demon.

"There," Ringo says. "So prissy... Hehe." 🎶

[SCOFF. What a presumptuous little dude! Despite her intense pout, Ringo is a bit flustered. She's never really spoken to someone this sly before, so she isn't sure how to handle it.]

Well... Thanks. [A weak shrug, and she grabs his paw for a shake.] So... Kapi. You're a gamer?

...She doesn't feel like she fits the image of someone that important, after all she's allowed to come to pass.

Realizing how lost she became on this train of thought, Ringo snaps her eyes to ⤵️

A twin... A child whose life was cut short by a disease. Ringo's expression is as difficult to discern as the feelings swelling in her chest. Another sense of fleeting failure, helpless to accomplish the task she vowed she would. It's still a failure if she didn't know it was happening, right? ⤵️
