Sometimes nature still finds it's way into civilized areas. Dragons are still a real threat in this industrialized fantasy world.

I'm currently working hard on the relaunch of flamebound. Here is a bunch of selected sketches. I start line work today and will color the first panels by this week. Storyboard for all three episodes is almost finished. Already made panels for ep4 and 5. #webcomic #sketch #art

3 episodes until May 15 is doable. The thing that took a lot of time was making the storyboard right. I can skip sketching for a lot of panels this time, because I have a very detailed storyboard. Line art will take some time too, coloring, shading and giving a finish touch can be done pretty fast.

I have time until May 15th as far as I know, so I think I'm just in time, am I not?

I rushed the character intro of the crew and therefore rushed the start of the main story (episode 5). I can fix that... I'm glad I did that brainstorming, because I was thinking about redoing the whole comic. That's luckily not necessary.
And with April 9th I have time to work.

I was reading and brainstorming my old episodes and I think about changing the order of the episodes.

Ep 1-4 stays the same
Ep 5-7 will be the current 6, future 7 and 8
Ep 8 will be the current Ep 5, but renewed with more context

Is that a good idea or even more confusing?

I was devastated for 3 weeks and didn't moved a pen in this time. After that I decided to move on and make fun of myself. That's how the phoenix comic strip was born. 🤪

On January 11 2024 an accident happened. I worked my ass off and finished a buffer of 5 episodes and I was about to publish. I didn't made a backup.

Nothing was learned...

Except: Now I have auto backup into the cloud enabled!

I've written scripts for over 16 episodes in the last few days and am currently working on the storyboard. My goal is to build up a buffer of 3 episodes, and I want to start a regular schedule with my webcomic starting April 9th. From then on I will have more time to really dedicate to my comic.

I'm currently in a mood of nostalgia. I have a bunch of harddrives. After all these years I finally have the drive to clean them out and found some gems: Old short stories, a novel I was working on, etc. Man I wasn't aware how much I did over the years.

All the twitter refugees found a new home. The last time I joined BS was like that, too. I deleted my old account for that reason. Well I came back in the hope that the latest mass exodus would change the sentiment to a degree. Guess who was wrong lol.

It's much more satisfying putting effort in drawing than doing AI art. Before I started drawing last year I thought AI images are some kind of shortcuts. It is not.
