Join us as we remember, reckon, and stand together in our struggle to resist the ongoing Nakba and fight for freedom, justice and equality for all between the river and the sea.

We invite you to join us on October 9th for a solidarity vigil in London, where we will read testimonies, come together in reflection and say the Mourner’s Kaddish. In this way, we unite even while holding space for the unbearable pain that continues to unfold.

That future demands our will to fight and build a better world. But it also demands space for us to reflect, honour lives lost and pause in our grief.

We long for, and are committed to, a future in which the horrors of October 7th, the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza, and decades of systemic occupation and apartheid that preceded them are unimaginable.

With the scale of this horror robbing so many of their individuality, we turn to the Talmud's teaching that every life is an entire world: while this forces us to reckon with the overwhelming scale of destruction we have witnessed, it reminds us that those lost are not numbers.

We must gather in this moment to hold space for that grief, in all its complexity, and to honour the lives lost: Palestinian, Israeli, and those closer to home in recent attacks on Jewish and Muslim communities.

We grieve with Palestinians, who are struggling to mourn not only the tens of thousands of men, women, and children murdered by Israeli forces, but also the destruction of Gaza’s society amid Israel’s campaign of genocide, mass displacement, administrative detention & starvation.

On the eve of Sukkot and the 2nd anniversary of October 7th, we pause to mourn and share in the pain of the family and friends of those murdered and taken hostage two years ago in the Hamas-led attacks, some of whom have still not returned home.

"We're fighting fires everywhere, and that's exactly how the right wants us... We have a responsibility to stand up and say that we are here because we value all human life."

We are heartbroken to emerge from Yom Kippur into news of the attack at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation in Manchester. No one should face violence for attending synagogue services and our hearts are with the victims and their families at this terrible time. For many in our community, this news may only just be reaching you after a day spent in prayer, reflection, and fasting. To be confronted with such awfulness in this moment is particularly painful: please know that you are not alone.

In moments like this, it is vital that our communities - Jewish and non-Jewish alike hold one another close. Our safety and liberation depend on solidarity between all those who are marginalised and targeted, and we must not allow those who seek to divide us to succeed. Every person deserves to live, gather, and worship in safety and dignity. We condemn this act of violence unequivocally, and restate our commitment to building a world where this kind of horror is no longer possible.

Our hearts are with the victims and their families at this terrible time.

Hotovely’s politics are not aberrant. They are the product of the entrenched ethnonationalist ideology that has enabled Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza for 2 years, alongside decades of occupation, apartheid & dispossession.

Tzipi Hotovely has concluded her term as Israel’s ambassador to the UK.

Throughout her tenure, we opposed her appointment and campaigned against providing her with platforms due to the racism, incitement, and genocidal rhetoric she brought to the role.
