A fluffy black cat sits in front of an orange bowl, waiting for it to be filled with treats.
The void demands treats.
I hope this spooky season will bring you all the treats you deserve.

I made a lot of progress with my edits tonight. Must be the power of spooky season. ๐ฅฐ
29.10.2025 02:11 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Oh boy, thereโs quite a list. ๐คฃ Thereโs My Chemical Romance, The Used, Hawthorne Heights, Senses Fail, Paramore, Fefe Dobson, Jimmy Eat World, Taking Back Sunday, All American Rejects, Blink-182.
Iโm probably forgetting a few others. ๐
Itโs Emi from The Nightmare That Devours.
This novel took a long time to develop with so many versions. I adore Emi and her oddball friends. Iโve been having a hard time admitting this book is done.
And sheโs here to let me know sheโs ready for the querying trenches and more.

Hi hi! Iโm Allison, and I write weird, speculative, queer, neurodivergent horror.
My perfect writing space is full of bookshelves, books, a wood-burning fireplace, nice thick rug, at least one cat, fountain pens, and rain is tapping on the window...

I am Tristan Zelden. I write a variety of horror, but monsters are my favorite. My dream writing room is a gothic home library. Give me gothic aesthetics and a room that is filled wall to wall with books.
#HorrorWritersChat
I'm Anna and I write cozy Fantasy/Horror and sci-fi Horror.
My ideal would be at a beach, a box window seat to sit in and look at the waves, a nice cozy chair facing a fireplace, a table next to me for my hot drinks and food, with some bookshelves of my tbrs behind me.
Hey #HorrorWritersChat, my name is Tiff and I'm pan-horrific.
If money were no object, I'd write in a multi-floor Gothic library with floor-to-ceiling stained glass windows and a fireplace that hides a second, much smaller writing space that plays "Little Room" by The White Stripes when I enter.
I'm Miss Bert, I'm SO LATE today, and I'm in my dream room, next to a koi pond and woods with my feets up on the couch and kitties around me. #horrorwriterschat
22.10.2025 18:50 โ ๐ 10 ๐ 3 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Late to the party! I'm Katherine Silva, Kat for short and I write sad, existential horror and speculative fiction.
My dream writing space would need lots of windows for sunlight or rain ambiance, a comfortable office chair, and a giant wall to stick all of my writing notes to.

Oooh! So for my YA supernatural horror piece, The Nightmare That Devours, hereโs my inspiration:
1. Nightmare on Elm Street
2.Japanese legends with Baku, a dream eater and yume no seirei, a yokai that causes nightmares
3. The Babadook
4. Emo music from the early 2000โs

#HorrorWritersChat I'm late! I forgot it was Wednesday!
I'm Artemis Quinn, I lurk in the dark fantasy and paranormal horror and thriller camps. My dream writing room is floor-to-ceiling shelves, and a ornate carved desk.
Top 3 items would be:
1. My notebook
2. My Passion Planner. I like to write down my writing goals in it.
3. Colored pens. Black pens always feels final to me, but if I use a different colored pen, it allows me to explore and write without self doubt.

Hello, #HorrorWritersChat! I'm Trish Wilson, Media Director for The Horror Zine. I write cozy horror and horror comedy.
My dream writing room sits inside an old stone cottage with stained glass windows. My garden has steps leading down to a beach. Gentle rain and ghosts keep me company.
Hello! I'm Gree, writer of body, psychological, and religious horror.
My writing room would be spacious and quite old-fashioned. Also a library of books I can grab immediately. Lit only by candles. It would have a large window over-looking a snowed-in forest or garden.

Hello #HorrorWritersChat, Iโm Kimberly, Iโve two published horror collections; my ideal writing room has no physical requirements (truly, I write wherever whenever, never had an office or even a desk). However- said room must provide me an extra 24 hours per day to devote to writing.
Q1
Charlie, creature feature horror I guess would be it.
I think it would like a place that is a five minute walk from a beach, with a view with the water present, and an expensive Bluetooth speaker in every sparse room. Very minimalist and hidden from people, but not nature. #horrorwriterschat

Hello you lovely weirdos! It's Michelle Heller, writer of weird and funny nonsense involving body, cosmic, and grief horror.
I would say my perfect writing room is just that. I dream of having my own space in my house. Love the man to death but he is distracting. ๐คฃ
Hรฆ, hallรณ, veriรฐi velkomin #HorrorWritersChat
Villimey is my name and I write horror on an island in the middle of fucking nowhere, Iceland.
My dream writing room would have an electric desk, a cozy reading nook with the most comfortable armchair when I need a break from writing.
You know, if money were no object I might want to keep writing from our weird old house in the woods โaugmented by trips to nearby wolf sanctuaries or other appropriately misty or spooky places.

I'm Saoirse, I write about sad people doing ugly things, and I've thought about this a lot.
It's a room of modest size, the walls painted dark green. I have dark wood bookshelves lining three of the four walls, decorated with taxidermy and terrariums. There's an antique secretary desk in disarray.
Hi, I'm Vivian. I write all types of horror--emphasis on the pulp, camp, and gore, but I dabble in all sorts. I write in my kitchen looking at my backyard, but my ideal space would be a Hobbit hole or a cozy nook in a haunted house surrounded by old books, candles, and cobwebs.
#HorrorWriterschat
Iโm Clover, and I write horror that takes the cute/mundane and makes it horrifying.
I want a Victorian library with a roaring fire and a large writing desk with a typewriter. Also an endless supply of tea and biscuits ๐
#horrorwriterschat
Iโm obsessed with this room!

22.10.2025 18:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Mark Guyer. I write horror about identity and pop culture and I like to include as many jokes as possible.
My ideal writing space looks like a comic book store.
Thanks for asking, #HorrorWritersChat

Hello! Iโm Gary Kruse and I write horror of the supernatural/witchy/bitey-bitey vampire variety!
My ideal writing room would be a lodge/summerhouse at the bottom of a garden, preferably overlooking a lake. ๐๐ค๐ป
Hello. I'm J. Neira, slushie for Graveside Press & my niche is cozy horror.
My ideal room... I'm not very ambitious. Someplace cozy with an overlook window looking out into the edge of the woods.

Hello #HorrorWritersChat! I'm Rami Ungar and I write horror and dark fantasy. If I could, I would live in a castle I designed myself, one that has an ancient appearance but modern amenities. And in either a tall tower or a creepy dungeon, I would write at my desk. #HorrorWritersChat
