As winter sets in, Israel is still throttling all kinds of aid including food and warm things. Press can’t go in. Sick children can’t leave. It’s a slower genocide; it’s still genocide.

🪴 The team created a fantastic community garden on a mound of garbage next to the Sayida Nafissa mosque. It is watered from underground leakages+ hosts a community garden and a playground!
🏺The conference "Urban Heritage in Crisis in Egypt, Sudan & Palestine" was SO special!
🙏Huge thanks to @gmandreou.bsky.social

“And they should all be in a cell
As a prelude to their time in hell
Instead they lounge inside hotels
And backslap other clientele
Who pledge loyalty to Israel
And sign their names upon the shells
That land on hospitals and wells
Eternal war is what they sell”
The professor invited by UBC describes his work as an "archaeology of military occupation”, cites Foucault, but does not see the contradictions of working on an archaeological site built on ruins of an ethnically cleansed Palestinian village and next to one of the largest prisons for Palestinians👇
