Are you interested in any particular themes? Contemporary poets or more “classics”? My queen is Anne Carson, but she’s not for everyone. I’ve gifted my favorite book of hers to several people and they all said they couldn’t get through it! Ada Limón is widely appreciated (current US Poet Laureate).

Sometimes when I say I’m working on music, I mean I’m struggling (and also enjoying) to learn how to play pieces on the piano. This is my janky attempt at the first 12 measures of Eric Satie’s “Gymnopédie (No. 1).” One day, in a million years, I’ll be able to play the full thing.
