I asked my son if he’d like to go on holiday last night. For a second his eyes lit up and then this the first thing he said: “we’d need to find somewhere safe for LGBTQ people. Where’s left?!”
That should not be his response.

An exciting day ahead chairing the RCSLT ROOT to the future event! Looking forward to a day hearing from SLTs using the ROOT, celebrating successes and planning for the future!

Butler comes from a generation that knew Freud well and took such work seriously, and I think that's relevant for why Butler is able to see this kind of thing so clearly while many others today aren't.

I’ve reached the stage where I have to consult urban dictionary to be able to have a conversation with my 12 year old. Today I have learned about ‘shipping’: “The act of one wanting/supporting two individuals involved in a romantic relationship.”
