The papers says:'The industrial action is in response to βdetrimentalβ proposals around access to the Teachersβ Pension Scheme (TPS) and a refusal to recognise or negotiate with unions.'
I hope the school starts to negotiate with the unions ASAP.

22.04.2025 07:58 β π 4 π 2 π¬ 0 π 2There are only a few more days to post your votes for the NEU Executive elections which close on 29/4/25.
To make sure your votes count they need to be posted by Friday 25th.
I re-elected I will continue to work hard to support independent sector members.
Thanks
All the ballot papers for the NEU Executive election seem to have arrived. If you work in the independent sector please read my election statement, check out my experience and campaign successes and consider voting for me.
Remember it is not a vote until it is in the post.
Vote early.
Independent research shows wide gaps between the earnings of teachers and other professional groups.
A 2.8% rise wonβt close that gap. And without new funding, it will just force schools to make cuts.

Independent sector members can meet us at the Rep Network Day on 1st March in London. Hear from a range of activists and speakers.
I feel sorry for all the schools, both state and independent, who will be inspected by this new system.
This is not the way to improve standards in education.
Another poor decision.
OFSTED is discredited and must be abolished or radically restructured.
Thank you to all the districts that nomimated me for the Independent Sector Seat in January. Great to have support from all over the country.
I am looking forward to more hustings events in February.
I am excited to announce the start of our Twilight Tuesday online CPD for independent sector members and officials doing casework in the independent sector.
We start with Making a Pay Claim.
Watch out for other events.
Good luck @colleenjohnson.bsky.social

The Government has proposed an unfunded, 2.8% pay increase for teachers next year. Instead of continuing Conservative austerity, the Government must fully fund the above-inflation pay increases desperately needed to value, recruit and retain teachers and school leaders. neu.org.uk/latest/press...
