Disaster. Luckily there’s so many leftovers.

Ugh. 15 minutes on one side and still they are not holding together. Gonna try 12 on the other side and if that doesn’t work I dunno.

Okay but I tasted a fried one that fell apart and it’s delicious. Maybe I should’ve stuck the batter in the food processor?

On a @smittenkitchen.bsky.social roll- making the leek fritters. I think I didn’t squeeze out enough liquid and they didn’t stay together in the frying pan. Trying the oven now but I totally invented a temperature (350) and a time (10 min each side). So we shall see.

I do this so many times a day. It doesn't make me feel better. I generally have to go do something else to distract my brain, but I fear this just means the stress is building somewhere inside.

On a #smittenkitchen kick lately! Made the sweet potato blintzes. Everyone loved them (luckily I convinced co-chef to blitz the filling- smooth was the way to go).

I’ve lost two pairs of headphones to teenagers…so annoying. The more I think about the movie the more I want to read the book- it was just so different.

Hard to be optimistic today. Tomorrow not looking good either.

I’m trying to finish the audiobook of How to End a Love Story but it’s so spicy I can’t play it when anyone else is around. I thought the movie Annihilation was EXCELLENT- I’ll have to look for the book.
