There are messy, jagged lines around the jaw and eyes, where I felt the ache coming from. There are smudges all over, made by rubbing an eraser covered in pencil graphite over the paper!

A presumably dead tree leaning quite heavily, with sprawling vibrant green moss growing on it despite the cold wintery climate. Beneath the bark there are likely insects overwintering, unknowing that their home may be demolished and burned by people who happen to find it to be an eyesore.

I don't think I will ever understand humans obsession with removing fallen/dead trees.

Same mentality as anti-homeless infrastructure - literally just let the bugs live. Let them have a place to exist. Let fungi and moss be.

Also, protect old growth :)
